Bracken County was formed in 1796 from
parts of Mason County and Campbell County.
The county seat is Brooksville.

Location: Old Jail Building on the Courthouse Square in Brooksville, KY
DR. JOHN LENOX, 75 passed away July 16, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, July 25, from 5 to 8 PM at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville, Kentucky as well as July 26, from 10 to 11 AM at the Fort Thomas Christian Church, funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the Johnsville Cemetery in Bracken County. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UC Health Foundation, Barrett Cancer Center, 3200 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45229 or Fort Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 1031 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Kentucky 41075.
