Welcome to Bracken County Historical Society's Website

 
Bracken County is located on the banks of the Ohio River, Bracken County was formed in 1796 from parts of Mason County and Campbell County. The county seat is Brooksville.

We hope to provide you with useful information about our society as well as our county. We have a large collection of family files, cemeteries, obituaries, maps, and pre-1900 legal documents to aid in your ancestry research.
