Welcome to Bracken County Historical Society's Website

We hope to provide you with useful information about our society as well as our county.  

Located on the banks of the Ohio River, Bracken County was formed in 1796 from parts of Mason County and Campbell County. The county seat is Brooksville.

Location:  207 Madison St. on the Courthouse Square in Brooksville, KY


​The Haley House Museum is also open by appointment.  Contact the office or send an email to make arrangements.

The museum is located at 123 West Miami St. across from the courthouse.
